Throw A Party Your Employees Will Actually Want to Attend
Summer’s here, school’s out, and it’s that time of year when many businesses host a company picnic for their employees. Don’t stick to the same boring barbecue you’ve done in the past. We’ve put together three company picnic ideas to help you take your next corporate event up a notch!
#1: Host a Healthy Competition.
Nothing gets the blood pumping and the camaraderie building like a healthy competition among coworkers. Slowpitch softball, tug of war, and backyard games like horseshoes are all popular company picnic ideas, but it could also be fun to turn up the notch with laser tag, archery tag, or an obstacle course.
#2: Do a Scavenger Hunt.
When you want to challenge the mind as well as the body, consider hosting a scavenger hunt. The beauty of scavenger hunts is that they can be as simple or as complicated as you want them to be—it’s totally up to you! Reward the victors with fun prizes and incentives.
#3: Make it Fun for the Whole Family.
When the weekend comes, the last thing your employees want is to spend time away from their families for a work event. Invite them to bring their spouses, significant others, and children to join in the fun. Make sure to have lots of family friendly activities—like face paint, inflatables, or even an outdoor rock wall—to entertain the little ones.
Who are we kidding? All those are fun for adults, too!
"From the moment I contacted Game On! for our city's Fourth of July event, they were great. Easy to communicate with, quick with their quote, helpful and knowledgeable about what to expect. Then on the day of our event they arrived early and opened early with no additional cost to us."
Add in some great food and fun music to this mix and you’ve got a company picnic your employees will still be talking about at the water cooler Monday morning.
